We really wanted Jesus to know we were celebrating him. With these young people we wanted it to be a lot of outward celebration and looking forward to the inward celebration. We wrapped Jesus up under the tree to add to our calendar, we packed wise men traveling bags, we let balloons go, we made a cake and prayed "Happy Birthday" in song. Ek had a bit of a hard time giving her balloon away, which was so strange, but we will keep praying and talking and encouraging our sweet kids.
