The kids were so excited to remember that presents begins Christmas Eve. Grandma, Pappa, Dave and Smokey are so so generous to give toys and clothes and flashlights and so many things to the kids. We usually all change clothes to go to the family gathering and usually have a hard time deciding what to wear. L quickly told us that she did not choose an adorable pink skirt/pants combo. She wanted Grandma to take it back. She is going to be a funny one to watch grow up! Ek was so excited to have Ruthie in her arms and I quickly built H a new lego tractor. I can't wait to see L take off on her new pink trike.
It is always nice on Christmas Eve to see John's family. We had a great bbq dinner and lots of great people to enjoy while we ate. It took a minute for the kids to warm up since they could hear the barking dogs who were kenneled in the bedroom but they had fun playing with their second cousins. Ek played with her new Ruthie with Grace and Shayla, she shared her Kit with Shayla and Grace brought Julie. H stuck close but enjoyed Grant mostly. L and Sophie seem to be cut from similar molds, they were both full of life and spunk. We were also very glad no one was sick. Did I mention how grateful we were to drive down there in our new car. Look for a pic very soon!
